As a game that is very much based in the MMORPG genre, what make Citadel of Sorcery stand out is its use of magic. As the name suggests, sorcery and witchcraft are to the fore in a role-playing game which offers players genuine challenges rather than empty tasks which need to be repeated every now and then to make progress. Thankfully, Citadel of Sorcery is set in a fantasy land where the effects of magic are not too mysterious – after all, you are inhabiting the realm along with many other real-life players, too. Players take on the role of a fallen hero and must strive to free the worlds from the evil doings of Morphael. By taking on a task or quest, the game will tailor it to each individual player. This means that your character's story arc has a feel of an epic quest that you might have read in Homer, rather than something that is out of a soap opera. The game is still in development – it is on a huge scale – so some parts of the playing planet are not fully drawn. However, there's still plenty to attract newcomers.
Multiple magic
